Financial support

Students who find themselves in financial difficulties due to the Coronavirus can get help from different places. For an overview of all financial aid programs and further information go to Social Welfare and Financial Aid on Freie Universität’s Corona-FAQ page. 

The studierendenWERK Berlin, too, can help students with applying for various financial support programs, for example the grant for the start or completion of studies, federal aid for students, or the Online Campus Participation Fund.  Under “Questions regarding study financing” on the studierendenWERK’s Corona-FAQ page you can also learn more about alternative ways of funding.
