Studying abroad

Students at Freie Universität Berlin have many options when it comes to studying abroad or doing an internship outside of Germany. Studying and working abroad will not only help you with improving your language skills and gaining new insights into your field of study, but will also be a valuable personal experience. The chances to get one of the 2500 spots at our international partner universities are usually quite high.

For some general information on studying abroad, take a look at the website of the Student Mobility Unit. There you will also find the brochure Going Abroad and Back/Ins Ausland und zurück (only in German). Both offer information on the different programs' requirements and application procedures. Once you've done some research on what might be of interest to you, you are always welcome to come to the Student Mobility Unit during office hours to get some personal counseling.
