National and International Governmental and Non-Governmental Organisations

One of the many possibilities for graduates of a degree in North American studies is the pursuit of a career within an international organisation on the European or global level.

Moreover, graduates have the opportunity to seek out employment within a Non-Governmental Organisation (for example the Atlantik-Brücke or Amnesty International) which act on the national, regional or local level.

Exemplary tasks for positions within such organisations include the development and coordination of concepts and programs, the analysis of political actions, as well as the cooperation with other organisations and the maintenance of public relations.

Graduates are also qualified to work in governmental organisations, such as ministries, parliaments and other public, administrative institutions.

The tasks associated with this field of work often include the planning and implementation of political directives, the formation and coordination of projects, as well as the thematic and organisational preparations necessary for appointments and events.
