The Master's Thesis and Colloquium

The Master's thesis typically concludes your degree and is meant to take up the entirety of the fourth semester, while the Master's colloquium should ideally be attended in the preceding semester. The exact specifications of your thesis, such as your word count and the allotted timeframe can be found in the study regulation as well as the on the JFKI website, while the correct style guide and other formal criteria depend on your particular disciplines and advisors.
The MA thesis at the JFKI is held to high academic standards and will therefore necessitate plenty of careful planning and deliberations, a majority of which can take place within the context of the MA colloquiums which are usually grouped by discipline and enable students to discuss and encourage each other's work.
